...I don't mean with a bandage. If you get an insect bite, one of the factors that makes it itch and sting is the poison's exposure to oxygen. As soon as you realize you've been bitten, cover the bite area with tape, clear nail polish, or a thick salve like Vaseline. This will keep the air out of the bite and keep itching [mostly] at bay.
